Tubing down the Guadalupe

I took Barney tubing down the Guadalupe once, rented an innertube with a "bottom", usually used for ice chests. He's a water dog, so he was in heaven. Especially with ALL the attention he was getting, everyone was calling his name and coming over and making friends with him. We had pulled over to the bank of the river with some people we met for some "refreshments", they were asking about Barney, I told them his name, and they said, Ohhh, we thought his name was Bacardi!!!! I said, no WONDER he never comes when I call him!! (total fabrication on my part, but it was funny) Barney ended up in my lap for the last part of the river trip, that water is pretty chilly. Nothing like having an 80 lb dog sharing your tube! Good times.
